Spring has sprung, and it’s time to get back out there and start fundraising again! We’ve compiled a list of springtime fundraising events for your organization.

Plant (or Clean Up!) a Community Garden

While it might be hard to find a brand new plot of land and get approval for planting a whole garden, it’s not out of the realm of possibility! But if that’s not an option, cleaning up an existing garden is a great way to involve your members in your community and prepare the plot for the growing season. Whether it’s a fruit and vegetable garden or a pollinator patch, you’re sure to make good use of the longer days!

Mother’s Day Brunch

Though you can always host a catered event and sell tickets as a means of fundraising, smaller organizations might find more success with a potluck event or a simple pancake breakfast. Choose a nice day, invite your friends and family, and celebrate the moms and caretakers in your life!

5k Race

A 5k race or fun run is always a great, easy way to get out in the sunshine and encourage members to spend time together. Sell tickets, encourage on-site donations, and allow prospective members to sign up for your organization during and after the run!

Spring Cleaning Garage Sale

Though you may not have items from your business that would be appropriate for a garage sale, your members sure do! Encourage folks to bring clothing, toys, books, and other household goods to your event and use the money from the sales as part of your fundraising funds! People are eager to do a little spring cleaning when the days get longer, and this is an excellent opportunity to benefit your organization, and it’s also an easy way to help your members out.

Host a Car Wash

Once the snow and rain have stopped, it’s a great time to break out the sponges and buckets and wash the winter off of some cars! Charge a few dollars for your services and help your friends and family by washing off that winter grime.

Wrapping Up

There are so many great ways to get involved with your members and community during the spring season! Pick an event, get to fundraising, and let us know how it goes!
