Now admins can easy merge two distinct membership records into a single record (while preserving all connected information).
November 6, 2018
While Join It has quite a few features to prevent duplicates, there are times when two distinct membership records can/should be merged.
We've now created a tool for this -- available on a membership record when there are other 'connected' membership records.
Merging the membership records will preserve all the linked data (payments, timeline, etc.) and move them to a single record.
To currently use the tool, the membership records must be 'connected'. This can be seen from each respective membership record (underneath the Membership info in the left hand column). If there are connected memberships, then there will be a 'Merge' link displayed. Clicking this link will walk you through a short wizard that allows you to select from values that are merged into the newly created record.

Yes! Depending on the needs of your organization, there are a handful of ways that Join It can support collecting donations.
Join It charges a Service Fee in addition to our monthly packages in order to keep our packages as low as possible and accessible to organizations of all sizes. With this approach, larger organizations, who use the service to process more memberships, end up paying a bit more. Additionally, it aligns Join It and our organizations, so that we're not making money unless you're selling memberships.
The Join It Service Fee is small service fee when you collect an online membership payment through our platform. This is separate from the payment processing fee that is charged by Stripe, which is the behind-the-scenes platforms that facilitates the processing of payments.
